CASA Volunteer Swearing-In Ceremony

Join us as we celebrate the newest members of our CASA ‘ohana! After completing an intensive five-week training program, these volunteers are officially ready to advocate for the children and families of our community.

Each CASA graduate has completed over 25 hours of specialized training, covering:

The Laws Relating to Child Abuse and Neglect – Understanding child welfare legislation, federal and state mandates, and legal principles of advocacy.

The Child Welfare System and Family Courts – Navigating judicial processes, investigations, and child protective services.

Understanding Families – Exploring family dynamics, socio-economic factors, and cultural awareness in advocacy.

Understanding Children – Learning about development, attachment, resilience, and the impact of separation.

The CASA Role and Responsibilities – Embracing the duties of a Guardian ad Litem, gathering information, monitoring, and reporting to the court.
Through this training, each new CASA has demonstrated compassion, dedication, and a commitment to giving children a voice in the judicial process.
